No! Space Analyser uses the Chromium File System Access API (window.showDirectoryPicker) to read directory metadata directly in your local browser session. No files or metadata ever leave your computer.

The treemap uses the squarified layout algorithm (Bruls-Huizing-van Wijk) to display files and folders as proportional rectangles. Larger boxes represent larger folders, allowing you to identify storage hogs instantly.
